Hey it was a good win against a team with a winning record on their home court and it's Roy and NC -  that is a good win.  I liked our aggressive double taming in the paint.  We did that earlier in year but always backed off a guy. Tonight we created turnovers with it.

So, this aggressive play I like.  Still miss Lewis and OSA.  Wish we were going to the tourney.

Doubling down on it when you were proven wrong. I'd expect nothing less.

How 'bout them Chiefs? Best team ever, a'ina? Where does a guy go to bet that they'll never lose again?

Anybody else hear the announcers says that UNC only has 18 non-conference losses at the Dean Dome? Pretty sure I heard something along those lines.

We R Final Four

Yes—18 non con losses in 35 years.

UNC's first loss at home this year, and also Wojo's first win in the Dean Dome, both as a player and as a head coach.

Fantastic win. Fun day.  'nuff said.

Let's not get ridiculous here. They'd be middle of the BE. 1-6 against Q1 teams.

Great win for the program because it's UNC, but this isn't typical UNC

They were #27 in Kenpom before we beat them. They're a great team.

Garcia and Wojo postgame.

Roy said Wojo outcoached him 3 times in his press conference along with a "God almighty if I knew we'd lose I wouldn't have scheduled them."

It sounds like this team is ready to make a run here, so excited for the game on Saturday.

Wojo is very well respected down there and I personally think he'd be a steal for a team like BC, NCST, or wake as he would be a much more natural fit in the ACC.

Was reading UNC's newspaper article on the game. This line struck me. A very different view of Marquette's handling of the pressure:

When UNC went into a press to control the pace, Marquette broke through half court with ease.

If that was with ease, I'd hate to see us having difficulties with it.

The post game handshake looked like Williams was providing some encouragement to Wojo. Looks like he respects him.

As I've said, Wojo seems like a really good guy and runs a good/clean program. I would love for him to be able to turn it around and have a successful career here. I just don't think it's in the cards.

Great first half, more specifically last ten minutes of the half which was our best stretch of the season. Our great interior defense won this game. Garcia was awesome on both ends.

Most of 2nd half looked like the bad MU we have grown frustrated with--the turnovers. But nice moxie to hold onto the lead and build it back.

Anyone miss an entire crew of BE officials? I bet Theo enjoyed this crew.

Wow.

That was the worst we've played against the press in years - which is saying something given that it's hardly the first time we've struggled.

They have such a strong bias against him, and it drives me nutty.

Didn't we throw the ball directly to UNC under our own basket like three times in a row?
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

For all the talk pre game about UNC's offensive rebounding, we did a pretty good job. Held them well below their usual rate, and it felt like a decent number of the ones they got were long rebounds/bad breaks.

Garcia and Wojo postgame.

After watching this presser, I'm willing to forgive Wojo for any of his "past sins".

Wondering how many of their rebounds are just because their misses are so brutal. I think there was a free throw that Theo got tied up on because the rebound was so high and deep.

Man, now that was fun to watch last night. Didn't think we had it in us. Let's run the table

That was awesome all the way around.  Only frustration is "what might have been."  Great job by the coaches and the team!

you definitely have a different definition of "great" than most people.

Gonzaga, Baylor, and Michigan are "great" this year. You could probably put OSU and Nova in there too. UNC is decent - only one win against a Q1 team.

Great teams are competing for the national title, UNC isn't even a tourney lock right now.

If you told me Jamal Cain would have 3 points, Koby and Carton have 9 turnovers, MU would have 13 turnovers in second half, Symir would make a three point shot, and that they won, well good for you.  Crazy.

Perez is not bashful, is he?  Made a clutch three to keep momentum going

Have to work on that inbounding the ball thing.  Four times lead to four turnovers and a fifth time lead to a timeout.  Sort of an issue all year, don't get it.

ESPN guys kept saying all game that this would be a bad loss for UNC, all game.  Then with two minutes left, hardly mentioned a good win for MU and Wojo.

Great win, players were really happy.

ESPN guys were indicative of just how much we have fallen off the radar. Nationally we have little respect.

wadesworld

It was a Quad 1 win.  Whether you want to call it good, great, mediocre, average, whatever, it's a quadrant 1 win.  Take it and run all day.

I think the most promising piece was seeing Garcia finish with contact.  That is showing growth & development.

It's ESPN.  They're falling on hard times and have an East cost bias.  ;)
