I see in the news that MI State's top scorer AND rebounder is Joey Hauser!

Very cool!

We definitely needed another thread on the Hausers.

Outstanding, but you might want to look up how he did a few days ago in the loss to Northwestern.

I'll save you the time: 5 pts on 2-7 shooting (1-5 from 3), 2 rebounds, 3 turnovers. Oh, and 1 benching; Izzo could only stand watching him for 21 minutes.

Now feel free to go back to worshiping a guy who quit on our program.

He actually left the game due to injury. It gets old saying this but dogging kids who ditch a No D / Just Shoot program for Tony Bennett & Tom Izzo seems ridiculous to me.

Apparently Michigan St. is not as good on defense as it has been in the past.

If my kid could play for Izzo, Wojo, or TB...Wojo wouldn't get a visit.

My kid would have his own choice.  So if he said he wanted to play for Wojo, then he'd play for Wojo.

If my kid came to me and said, "Hey dad, I really could not care less about where I play college basketball and I don't want to ever hear another recruiting pitch from a college basketball coach again, but I would like to play college basketball.  Please pick a program for me."  I sure as hell would give Wojo the chance to coach my kid over Izzo.  There's more to life than winning basketball games.  East Lansing has never and will never understand that.

What's with the Hauser obsession? I don't really care what they do.

MU 82 -- I am surprised by your comment, I always read your notes and thought you were a good commentator.  Guess not. I sent that news because I read it the Tucson paper. I was surprised and thought that the Milw papers didn't print it. I thought MU fans might want to know. As I review it, I don't see anything about Wojo in it. I am not by any stretch of the imagination a fan of Wojo or of the Hausers

Hey mods, you should delete this thread. There are several other topics that cover this subject and OP is clearly a moron

If your kid was good enough to play for any coach in America and he was down to Wojo or Izzo - and a) he gave a crap about winning and b) his dream was the NBA - I think you'd have the good sense to nudge him in Izzo's direction. If, under the same circumstances, it was a coin flip for him between Wojo and Dave Leito, I hope you'd encourage him to choose Wojo.

If he wants be a math major and he's down to MIT or MU, what would you do?

Does MIT and the Boston Police cover up sexual assaults in their math department and keep employing the same people allowing it to run rampant? If so, and my kid said dad please choose for me and my kid was smart enough to get into MIT anyway, he'd be going to MU. If he's that good he'll find his way. And he'll have some principles beyond "be the best at math you can possibly be." There's more to life than your bank account, in my opinion.

The best thing about Wojo is that, no matter how much of a dud he is, his supporters can always claim the moral high ground.

+ 1000 beat me to it. They had to call in the former governor of Michigan to take over MSU who was an idiot to protect the criminals. In one of my dinners with Rick Majerus I asked  the difference between coaching at Jesuit University and a large public. He said one offered classes in Ethics and the other offered a degree in Chea Pet. MSU Athletics is the definition of situational ethics.

What we really need is the Hausers, but Wojo blew that out his butt  which is all part of his MO.

You are right. But to the Wojo worshippers and kool aid slurpers, he had nothing to do with their departure. Those people have big time investments in swampland.

Did not know that Michigan had any governors with ethics.
