Gard is a great X's and O's coach.  If Wisconsin can keep up the recruiting trend of late, they'll be formidable.  There's no comparison really.  Pro Wojo's want what Wisconsin has but are afraid to deny it.  They love that student athlete look where it appears every one is studying in sweater vests and in bed by 9pm every night.  They live and breathe that fantasy.  The June and Ward Cleavers of the world.  Someone put up a video clip of Greg Elliot and Markus Howard in the library studying with flashcards.  Let's blow the lid off this place and get a Pro Wojo March Madness going!!!

We should have offered Pitino. He's 67. He'll want to rehabilitate his image. He'd be on best behavior. We'd be back to winning like we did under Buzz in a matter of two to three years max.

I don't think Jesuits/Catholics are in any position to pass judgment on moral character. What the Catholic Church did covering up the horrible sexual misconduct of some priests as compared to Pitino?  Slick Rick's stuff was kid stuff. No pun intended.

any time a scumbag like Pitino, Sampson, et al get hired I'm always reminded of one of the great press conferences in college coach history:

"I can't get a head coaching job. ... If you get fired for cheating, you can get hired right back again. If you get fired for losing, it's like you've got leprosy, so young coaches need to bear that in mind. Cheating and not graduating players will not get you in trouble, but that damn losing. ..."
