I didn't find it excessively homer-ish; it simply was written for readers who care far more about K-State than about the opponent.

It was a quick article written on deadline, before he had quotes from any athletes or coaches. It wasn't great and it had several cliches, but I didn't find it to be inaccurate. In other words, it was "fine."

i didn't necessarily mean to be degrading; just an observation.  coming from the kansas city star, i wouldn't expect anything less than a slant toward kstate.  just seemed like it was written by an aspiring upstart assigned to the late saturday night scoop, getting their new pens inked, that's all

Plus the basic point was solid.  KSU missed many easy shots in the first half.
