Comedian and actor Pat Finn, who starred in the sitcoms Murphy Brown, The Middle, and Nickelodeon's Marvin Marvin, has died. He was 60.

According to TMZ, Finn passed away after a battle with cancer. The entertainer's family told the outlet that he died at his home in Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday (December 23), and he was surrounded by family.

Born on July 31, 1965, in Evanston, Illinois, Finn graduated from Marquette University in 1987, where he played on the school's rugby team alongside the late comedian Chris Farley. After graduating, he moved to Chicago to pursue a comedy career, joining the The Second City National Touring Company.

He'll forever be Joe Mayo to me.

And while Joe Mayo threw the worst parties (and wore a fur coat), I have to think that Finn, Chris, and Kevin Farley, all being at MU at the same time, threw some absolutely epic parties.

Pat was 2 years ahead of me at MU, I was acquainted with him through the Rugby club.He was funny and cleaver more low key than Chris Farley. Some very fun Rugby Happy Hours at the Lanche and post match parties...
He was a very nice guy.

Tums Festival

Pat Finn will forever be a member of the Marquette family, and losing a family member is never easy.

I followed him on Instagram for many years and know he was a kind and generous person, husband, father, and friend. Also, his son just graduated from MU just this past summer.

My condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.
