He absolutely did. The ref went over and told him he was still in the game after he came back to the bench and he took a gulp and looked terrified. That was my observation at least.

after Wojo's slight smirk of joy when he thought the ref said that Powell was booted...

I would go with 'stunned disbelief', not 'fear'.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

He was fouled, refs didn’t call it.  If he leans into him, I’m guessing they still swallow their whistle

When Powell got BB in the air with a pump fake he jumped right into him and created contact. He forced the ref to call a foul. In case you missed it, on Scoop it's called "The Thing", named after Andrew Rowsey. Markus does the anti-thing, trying (and usually succeeding) to avoid contact. Bails out the ref, who almost never calls anything in that situation.

I'm well aware of it, and I've also seen where they actually call the foul on the shooter for jumping into the player.  They weren't going to foul out Powell the other night.
"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me.” Al McGuire

Howard drew enough contact for an easy call and those pos refs decided to swallow their whistles. That said Markus could’ve jumped into the contact and made it impossible for them not to call it

The look was of disbelief and fury.

Maybe you're confused because fury and fear are both four-letter words that start with f.
