I've always liked saying the only states I haven't been to are Alaska, Hawaii, and North Dakota.  However, my parents recently told me they took me to North Dakota when I was 2.  I'm kinda pissed about that now, so I hope we crush them tonight.

I wouldn't say they're either nonsensical or random. After 10 games (roughly 1/3 of the way through the season), it feels like a good time to step back and evaluate.

Despite some inconsistent play -- especially from newcomers like Chartouny, Morrow and Bailey -- I'm encouraged by the team's performance so far. The points from your post that really stood out to me related to Markus' assist and free throw rates.

Markus does so much for Marquette, it's easy to want even more. But it's important to recognize how much he's already expanded his game. ARate is up dramatically (from 18.4% last season to 29.7% this year). As mentioned, the same goes for FTRate (nearly doubling from 21.8% to 41.5%). His ORtg, while down, still ranks Top 50 in the country. We're witnessing a very special player. And he's the same age as Dwyane Wade was in his first year on the court for Marquette -- which suggests he has further room for improvement.
