Updated www.valueaddbasketball.com will pop up tonight or first thing.

Joey's week would rank him the 4th best freshman in the us (only Duke, Oregon and Michigan FR ahead) and for the season as a whole ranks 16th among freshman.

Markus slips slightly to 15th of all 4000+ players, and Sam moves up to 22nd. No other duo is close except for slightly better at Duke and Kansas.

Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

But where is Grimes?

Still well on his way to making lots of money this year and even more next year

Joey is going to be a big, big time college player. The first move on Happ was off the charts. He is going to be fun to watch.

Good work. Also glad to see you have seen the light on Quincy McKnight and showing him some respect that he was rightfully due.

Not sure if Joey will be here by his senior season or if he's on the NBA's underclassmen radar at all, haven't seen an indication he is, but if he stays all 4 years he's going to have a really REALLY good career here.

So speaking of Joey likely not staying all 4 years.  What is the current thinking on Markus? Will he be back for his senior year?

Unless he miraculously grows 5 inches in the next six months, the answer is yes.

He's not stupid.
Have some patience, FFS.

The only way Markus leaves early is if he leads us to some big wins and a deep run in the tournament. That may give him the needed boost.

I would think that scouts would want to see a more complete all around game before drafting such a small guy. His defense is improving, and he's getting more comfortable handling the ball, but I don't think he's quite doing those at the NBA level yet.

I would be very surprised Joey played four years of college ball. Fingers crossed, but not betting on it.
