Wish he had that killer instinct 5 years ago

But wow that was sick

Jamil should have made the Talladega coach put our name up on the bracket.

OK ... I'll give it the Full Tower ... just for funsies ...

GOOD NIGHT, TALLADEGA!

++ I turned it on right at the start of the 2Q. That was brutal basketball the rest of the half. As another poster said, like watching a YMCA game. Ugly, disinterested, barely even basketball.

++ In 2H, our boyz hit 3s and it was a lot more fun to watch. That's the way it is with a team that lives/dies by 3s - make 'em and look good; miss 'em and look brutal.

++ Our boyz actually reminded me quite a bit of last year's MU team: Take lotsa 3s, hit some, play too much hero ball, play little defense (especially interior defense), hope to outscore the opponent.

++ Diener looked like he had a little pot belly going, but I think he played the entire 2H. He was gassed at the end. Jamil, Mo, Jerel (till foul out) also played just about the entire half. Playing to win - lots of $$$ on the line.

++ Weird seeing a couple guys who didn't go to MU representin'. The Cook guy even made a couple big shots.

++ One classic Derrick play: Stole an inbounds pass and promptly missed the bunny. He did play hard when he was in there, applied good defensive pressure.

++ I'm not sure I like the Elam thing yet, but I obviously liked the way this one ended. They turned off the clock, Talladega tied it within 30 seconds or so ... and then it took about 30 seconds for Jamil to win it single-handedly. In a "real" game, there would have been 6 timeouts and 12 fouls. So actually ... I guess I'm saying I liked it.

++ 3-pointer-and-1 ... blocked shot ... pull-up 3 from 27 ... Good night, Talladega. Jamil's finish reminded me of his finish in the Davidson game ... but unfortunately not too many others. For most of the game he was content to drift around on O and D, and jack up an occasional 3. Nice to see him take charge at the end.

++ I can't believe I just analyzed a TBT game. My wife is visiting her father. I obviously need a mistress.

Expectations were set too high by scoopers—-he couldn't live up to them.

Go to church tomorrow, it is a great place to find one.

The last time a Marquette team played a Syracuse team to go to the Final 4 of a tournament, things didn't end so well.....

I believe you. That seems to be where most preachers find their mistresses.

But I don't need a mistress badly enough to subject myself to churchin'. Besides, Mrs. 82 is all the woman I can handle!
