Some anti-troll on a bad night:

We lost 89-70.

Creighton's a pretty good team.  They lost there 92-70.

They scored 15 in the last 10 mins (approx) - the transitive property of losses does not apply

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

We came out flat and not ready to play D, that's on the coaches first and then the players for not being competitive

For all the stats that get thrown around on this site, so many people just continue to ignore every shooting statistic for Harry. He has not proven himself to be a shooter. At all. His numbers are downright bad. There must be a huge difference between the way he shoots in practice and the way he shoots in games for him to not be getting yanked when he launches threes. But until he's able to shoot above 30%, I'll continue to say he should not be shooting from outside.

Where he has looked good on offense is putting the ball on the floor. He does a nice job beating bigs off the dribble and getting to the rim. That should be the way he looks to score when he gets the ball on the perimeter.

Harry actually had 7 points and 8 rebounds tonight, playing for Sam almost entire second half.
You are right with his shot, but its been a long time since MU had a center who has a face up jump shot.  Maybe they start falling bit better, maybe not.  But a lot better than Heldt, who has been brutal.

It's 81-65 right now.  We've only made 6 threes.  If we had made our average of 11, it would be 81-80.
In a way. Made 3's would also make Xavier inbound the ball.
If we are all thinking alike, we're not thinking at all. It's OK to disagree. Just don't be disagreeable.

Woof. Brutal game. Hard to watch. Reminds me of the beatdown we handed Seton Hall a few weeks ago. Coincidentally, Seton Hall is still on track to make the tournament and we're not a top 10 team.

Got our rear ends handed to us tonight, no ifs, ands, ors about it. Time to move and get ready for Nova.

Yes, the same old mantra, there is always the next two years---every year.

Nope, I'm hoping on this year. Make the tourney and maybe win one. Every year stands by itself. I made my comment not to live in the future but say I think things will get better year to year.

Had 9 daze ta get ready for X. How ya figurin' 2 daze is enof tyme ta smack down VU, hey?

Yikes.  Rough game.  X played really well.  Sure wish we would have gone to a 3/4 court trap, falling back into a 2/3 zone for the entirety of the game as soon as it was evident Xavier was going to have their way with us.

Xavier's guards are simply too physical and athletic.  Goodin is on an entirely different level than our guys.

We will be better next year once Morrow is available.  Need Elliott and Cain to get in the weight room 2 hours a day all summer.  Disappointed with Sacar today.  May have to switch out him and Cain, and invest more minutes into Cain.

Where would you suggest we move TO? (kidding, but when I saw that "on" was left out I couldn't resist)

I don't really buy into the idea that 9 days off is an advantage or a disadvantage. These are Division 1 athletes, as long as they aren't playing in back to back days they should be ready to go. Tonight we played pretty close to our floor and Xavier played pretty close to their ceiling, the result is a good old fashioned butt whopping. If we play close to our ceiling and Nova plays their average or below average than we can win. Expecting a loss vs. Nova but it is a gift (an unfortunate one) that we get them in their first game without Mr. Booth. Hoping we play with something to prove and skin ourselves some Wildcats.

I chuckled. Though I hope they move the team back to Milwaukee in time for the game!

That was ugly. Not expecting much better on Sunday. Xavier has horses and MU lacks horses at the moment.

T'was 73-50 with 10 to go.  Against Creighton it was 73-48.  Pace wise they essentially played the same game twice.  Just sayin', good teams also occasionally get pummeled on the road against top 10 teams.  The sun still cam up in Omaha, it'll come up in Milwaukee.

Oh I agree with the point that getting pummeled happens.  I just disagreed that it is some sort of a good thing because someone else had a crappy game.

Yeah, Creighton was never in that game. I took away the fact that Creighton was definitely not too 2, and unfortunately the gap is probably a bit further than I would've liked.

Why can't we defend a layup?  Why can't we defend the rim?  Why are we a joke defensively?  We need better coaching defensively.

Some of our players are just not quick enough, period. Sam, Matt etc are slow. It is not a Wojo coaching issue per se but more of a overall lack of quickness on this team.
