The word comes from the 15th century French word mousquette, meaning "hawk". This is rooted in the Latin mosca meaning "fly". So the Three Musketeers are named for hawks - the fast moving predators.

Also, it is stupid that Xavier has the Cincinnati skyline on their floor.  Maybe if the name of the school was the University of Cincinnati, but I believe that name is already taken.
