Stupid question, but is this a big selling point?  The reason I ask is because several of the articles I read about the Georgetown coaching search mentioned this as a negative.  Is the difference between the two the proximity of the arena to campus?  The quality of the arena?  Or is this a case of looking at the situation through "blue and gold colored glasses" and counting it as a selling point?  Not trying to be argumentative...I'm genuinely curious.

I have seen enough examples of players talking or tweeting about how cool it is to play in an NBA arena and occasionally rub elbows with NBA players that I have to believe the GTown fans were looking for an excuse.

We've had scrimmages with Bucks during visits. I'm sure that has to be a plus.

And that's why Marquette had to "settle" for Stan Johnson.  Just tell us that there's hope MU can get you somewhere down the line.

I don't think so. We're not a top-25 team, but I think we're still a top-25 program. The luster hasn't all worn off yet.

Don't know about that. Luster drops off pretty quick when your program is averaging 15 losses per year over past 3 yrs under current HC. Heres to hoping that loss total drops below 10 next season.

Many consider Indiana a top-10 job and they haven't had success beyond the first weekend in over a decade. I'm not worried about our place in the NCAA landscape.

Not seeing your point. Year 2, 20-13, year 3, 19-13?  13 losses in each of last 3 years. Not too good. Hope he reduces it to less than 10 next year

Year 2- No Postseason
Year 3 - NCAA 10 seed

Give him a little credit.  As long as the loss wasn't a conference opponent, cupcake/buy, Wisc, an early season tournament, or as part of a home-and-home, it would be a totally acceptable loss.
