Is it possible to add a link on the mobile site view, to display the desktop view?

For example, if you view wikipedia on a mobile device you can request the desktop site from a link at the bottom of the page.

Hm, I'll look into that.  But you do know that on mobile you can request the desktop site through the browser?

Usually in the menu somewhere (Google can answer for your specific browser)

You are correct.  I didn't think to look under the menu (Chrome/Android).   Thank you for the suggestion.

Just FYI - the code on Wikipedia looks like this: <li id="footer-places-desktop-toggle"><a id="mw-mf-display-toggle" href="//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Main_Page&amp;mobileaction=toggle_view_desktop">Desktop</a></li>
