Jack Daniel's files for bankruptcy after Lemmy death




Jack Daniel's, one of the world's largest whiskey distilleries, has filed for bankruptcy in the wake of the death of Motorhead front man Lemmy Kilmister.

Lemmy was well known to enjoy Jack Daniel's bourbon and was responsible for over 85% of JD's market share. News of his death has caused the share price to plummet.

Jack Daniel's CEO, Jack Daniel, had this to say:

'When we heard the tremendously sad news of Lemmy's passing ,we immediately contacted our legal team to proceed with filing for Chapter 9 bankruptcy. We didn't think we could go on after George Best passed away but we know that without Lemmy, the business is, as Lemmy would say 'Pretty unnatural carnal knowledgeing unnatural carnal knowledgeed''.

Well....earlier I saw the thread title but didn't click on it. Tonight while having a drink with friends one ordered jack and coke and I asked if anyone else heard about their bankruptcy.  Shockingly no one had. Apparently I should have opened the thread.
