Two quotes...

On how aggressively Wojciechowski recruited him

"He flew out to have home visits a bunch of times — I can't even remember how many times he flew from Milwaukee to come visit me here. That's a big commitment to fly that long to see a player that many times. Also, just the kind of things he would say to me about how bad he really wants me and how he would push me and get everything he can out of me to become the best player I can be. Just motivational things like that and just the effort he took to come see me and show how much he wants me to be a part of this team."

On if his dad, former North Carolina State star Thurl Bailey, and Wojciechowski, a former Duke standout, traded any barbs

"There was just, you know, a few things said, but nothing really. It was funny."
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I thought this was telling:

On what makes Wojciechowski different from Gonzaga's Mark Few and Michigan's John Beilein, the coaches of the other schools in his top three

"What makes him different is he's kind of in the rebuilding stage right now of his program because he just got there. He hasn't been there for very long. Coach Few and Coach Beilein are great coaches and both have great history. I just feel like I relate a little bit better with Coach Wojo seeing as how he's a little younger and worked with a lot of players who are similar to me and my game."

There are the old school coaches then there are the rising young ones.

Thank the heavens we have one of the two.
