Seems this year there is at least one controversial over and back per game. Refs are constantly mistakenly giving possession to the defense. Just saw this again in the Wichita State/Utah game, has to be at least the tenth such call I've seen this year. Does anyone know if there was a rule change on these? Most you could see the defender knock the ball out with the naked eye, but in almost every case they've been turnovers.

I'm willing to say with 100% certainty that these officials doing Division I Men's College Basketball games on national TV are not getting these calls consistently "wrong".  I don't know what exactly you're seeing, but if the defense tips the ball out and it hits the offensive player in the front court before going into the back court and then the offense is the first team to touch it, it is still over and back.  Maybe this is what is being called?

In almost every instance, the commentators also mentioned the calls. Tonight they showed their replay clearly poked out by the defender twice but even before the replay both commentators were confident the ref got it wrong. I just don't remember seeing this many over and backs called and was wondering if anyone knew of a rule change.
