While the Badgers lead the all-time series 65-55 (note if you take out the 1940s, MU leads 51-49), Marquette holds bragging rights at the NBA level.  Using basketball-reference.com and a little math yields the following:

Total former and active NBA players 36 vs 22

Total NBA games played in:  9890 vs 3843
Total NBA minutes played:  228452 vs 82287
Total NBA field goals:  39161 vs 13805
Total NBA 3 pointers:  6094 vs 2065
Total NBA free throws: 19277 vs 7002
Total NBA points:  109270 vs 40807
Total Rebounds:  42009 vs 11502

Thank goodness for Finley, otherwise the rodents stats would be pretty weak.

Interesting because our coach during that time was a Wisconsin alum and so I'm caking shenanigans during that series. Everything 1930-1951 should be taken out.

Also why'd we keep chandler as coach that long the guy had a total of four good teams during his tenure.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Ancient times - BA (before Al), when being SLU was our goal. Thank God it's now ASL (After Scott and Larry) - no going back now.

We should also add in coaching wins and titles from Doc.  Has any UW alums been a NBA head coach?

Stan Van Gundy & Stu Jackson are former Wisconsin Badger head coaches who were NBA head coaches, but neither are alumnus. So, one would assume they do not.

I was watching Sportscenter this morning and they were talking about Anthony Davis, noting that he had a very high points per possession (5th in the league).  They showed a graphic of this and I noticed that Wes Matthews was at #4 I think.  I tried to take a quick photo of it but the graphic was down before I could and I didn't have DVR on my hotel room DVR.

My super quick Google search hasn't provided anything additional on this.

Did anyone else see this?

How many championship rings?

Marquette has 8 NBA Championships as players and head coaches.
Dean Meminger (72-73 Knicks)
Maurice Lucas (76-77 Blazers)
Butch Lee (79-80 Lakers)
Jim Chones (79-80 Lakers)
Dwyane Wade (3 with Heat)
Doc Rivers   (07-08 Celtics)

Wisconsin has 3 NBA Championships as players...
Wes Matthews (2 with Lakers)
Michael Finley (06-07 Spurs)

Also, Kim Hughes won an ABA title with New Jersey in 75-76 and Dick Schulz won a BAA title with the 47-48 Baltimore Bullets.
