is Buzz still in Milwaukee? Or would Duane have found himself nailed to the bench?

Nailed to the bench, fell too far behind in Buzz' world.

Bench. Doubtful he would have played D well enough for Buzz's liking.

He said "If Duane didn't get hurt" and if he didn't he wouldn't have fallen behind. With Duane, we're a tournament team. With Vander and Duane were a team that can make noise in the tournament.

What's the point?

Let's move on, shall we?

No need to dwell on what ifs.
Have some patience, FFS.

I still think Buzz is gone. Not sure any freshman would have got us all that much further.

Right the freshmen got us maybe 1 extra win.... (G-Town J.D.)

As far as I can remember. . . Honestly they've all taken steps back Deonte and JJJ while J.D. is prolly a uhaul or family van away from outta here all together... So Duane is right here he needs to be right now. Leading scorer on a team that needs scoring.

Would Duane have been this good without having had a redshirt year?

Buzz played a freshman Vander and a freshman Mayo, so I have every reason to believe he would have played a freshman Duane ... if Duane was ready to play the way Buzz wanted him to play. But would Buzz have played Duane if he didn't play good m-t-m defense?

Just having Duane's shooting ability would have made a difference, no? Or would Buzz have played Jake over Duane, too?

It's fun to ponder this kind of stuff ... if one wants to drive oneself crazy!

Oh yeah, my bad. I do believe I heard rumors last fall though that those close to the program were rather alarmed with his play early on before he got hurt. Don't know how much there was to that.
