It's not just recruits. I have it on good authority that Cuonzo Martin was a solid frontrunner until Wojo's interview. Specifically I heard his "vision and plan" for Marquette blew everyone away. Cuonzo "removed himself from consideration" shortly afterwards.

From the timeline involved this seems feasible.  With WOJO being so close to coach K for so long I'm hoping this translates into success for our program!

Cuonzo was perceived to be running from something. Wojo wanted to be here and build off what we had . He is following through as everything he ever says is about Marquette and not that we are Dukes North campus
