If the info we have is correct insofar as we will officially announce Shaka on Wednesday,

Could we possibly grant exclusive rights to FS1?  Either televised or streaming from the FS1 and/or Big East website?

I mean if he's truly our next coach, this is a splash--the face of the conference, actually.  And as with any asset you have, you put it front and center.

Can you imagine ESPN covering the story and having to rebroadcast it, giving credit to FS1?  I'm not a TV/media guide, but I know that is great publicity for the conference and our television partner.  Moreover, Shaka's arrival at Marquette totally flies in the face of Brent's comments regarding the "weak" Big East.  It would also take the wind out of Wake's sail in trying to pick off fellow Big East coach Chris Mack.

Someone please pull Val's head out of that Office Depot catalog and get this happening.  FS1 exclusive.

Thoughts?  Is this even possible?

Id say this premise is not terribly rock solid at this point
"Half a billion we used to do about every two months...or as my old boss would say, 'you're on the hook for $8 million a day come hell or high water-.    Never missed in 6 years." - Chico apropos of nothing

Sure, it could be done.  Great idea.  Marquette will probably be focused on the widest possible dissemination once a deal is done, though.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
