I have been to games in Ann Arbor, East Lansing, South Bend.   Impressive atmosphere, but since I don't really care who wins, it doesn't really impact me.   Yay, blocks and blocks of people tailgating all wearing the same colors.   Lost on me.

ESPN rates the Michigan - Ohio rivalry as the best in all of Sports.

That and a quarter will get you a phone call. That list is laughably bad.

Ok. As I asked my guys, "What would you do differently?" Please name better rivalries.

Celtic/Rangers. Barca/Madrid. Lazio/Roma.

Michigan/Ohio State isn't even close to any of those. They are seated in bitter hatred, politics, and religion that goes deeper than any differences held by Michigan and Ohio State fans. Not to mention West Ham/Millwall, which is pretty much based on brutality.

Yeah, I bet there are some wicked cricket rivalries that would put UM/OSU to shame too.

How about the All Blacks against S.Africa?

Give me a break w/ the international BS. None of those rivalries truly impact US fans, so it's pointless to include them IMO.

Sports are international now. Those leagues are on TV here every weekend. Just like football is on overseas.

Two years ago, I didn't watch a minute of college football on tv during the season.   Didn't miss it.  Watched 20 minutes of NFL football yesterday.  I can skip the entire NBA and NHL regular seasons.    I will happily watch Quinnipiac play Stony Brook in basketball.   I watched over 150 baseball games this past season.  My crews at work know that all training is cancelled during March Madness and golf majors.  That being said, my wife and daughter wanted the Michigan/OSU game on while we decorated the house on Saturday and I did get sucked in.   We were out later, so I only saw the end of the Bama/Auburn game in highlights, but even in replays, it gave me chills.
