I really love my wife, daughter and grand daughter (only 3) and get that it mainly affects women; but my dad had breast cancer, it is not just a women's disease. Also, when will they devote the same energy to prostate cancer? It seems so PC to me to genderize any disease. There was a report not long ago where an African American mom whose child was diagnosed with breast cancer and on Medicaid was denied treatment because her child was her son. Go figure.

It's a fair point, I guess, but it should also be noted that all the attention, funding, etc. for breast cancer is a result of women establishing organizations, driving campaigns and lobbying for the cause. There's nothing to stop prostate cancer survivors or families of men who have been affected by it from doing the same, and in some cases they have (see: Michael Milken's Prostate Cancer Foundation). There is no "they" deciding to focus on breast cancer at the expense of prostate cancer. The more organized, driven group is going to get the attention and funding. Just how it works.
Also, it's not as if all the funding toward breast cancer research is helping afflicted women only. Whatever progress made helps the guys just as much.

And money, as they sell all sorts of pink gear during October and donate something south of $5 per $100.

I stopped participating in any of that "pink" business once I discovered how inefficient the high-profile breast cancer charities are.

This. Our PA program is partnering with the Indy Movember group to provide knowledge and healthcare accessibility for anyone interested. Most of the guys in our program are growing/fundraising as well.

My wife is not pleased, but it is what it is.  Most women just don't dig facial hair.
