All true.  Maybe another Juco but we'll see.  I wonder when Jameel first approached Buzz to discuss?  And I wonder if it has any impact on Tory Miller's thought process?  Sure could use some help for Steve next year.

Didn't exactly come out at 4:59 on a Friday, but if Pierce and/or Miller commit in the next week I'll have forgotten all about whats-his-name by the time we play our first game.

Mark Miller's crystal ball pick for Tory Miller is Colorado. Prolly not a good sign.

So what's happening tomorrow?
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Ahmed Hill had 14 crystal ball predictions for Missouri. Those are pretty useless until days before the recruit commits

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

If I were advising Miller or Pierce, I'd think long and hard about MU.  Either could reasonably see meaningful minutes as a Frosh alongside Steve.

MU Buff

Just to give us some hope on at least one big man, Corey Evans, who is a recruiting analyst in Pittsburgh, has been the first to tweet about everything when it comes to the recruitment of Satchel Pierce.  This was a twitter exchange he had, meaning he'd be shocked if Pitt landed Pierce.

Chas Wolfe‏ @highmajorscoop 6h
Supply & Demand market for Bigs...won't be shocked if Jamie Dixon (Pitt) lands 7-footer Satchel Pierce who's at local Kiski Prep (Pa).

Corey Evans‏ @coreyevans_10 4h
@highmajorscoop I'd be!

On top of that, he picked Marquette in the crystal ball.  I'll take both of these as a good sign considering he has had direct contact with Pierce.

Curious...anyone notice who's missing in this picture besides McKay?

Couldnt tell who was missing.

I noticed Mayo wasn't in there. Was there anyone else missing? Only counted 11 players. Was Duane in there?

Mayo was in the pic...

Well I'm not good at this game. He's the one I looked for specifically. I thought he looked a ton more engaged at Madness than he has in previous years. It was cool to see.

Not really a full year.  Most players who could come in and play significant minutes as a newcomer to a program are already committed by this point and will be signing a dotted line in November.  I have no doubt that Buzz will be able to fill the scholarship with somebody who ends up being just as good at some point in his MU career, but will he find a big who can contribute in the 2014-2015 season?  We will see.

We got Davante in the spring.  Gorgui Dieng was a spring signing.  Joel Embiid was a spring signing.  Not trying to disprove what you said, just trying to provide some hope.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

....except when the local recruiting expert picks against the local team.

So, did I miss it?  Was there big news at 4:59?

I took a pretty big dump to close out the day.
