Didn't Mbah a Moute already screw us out of one recruit?  Why get our hopes up about another?

So a highly sought after recruit chooses Kansas and LRMAM screwed us over? I would get my hopes up because of who we are recruiting against so far. Also, if another school comes in we at least have the advantage of being in from the beginning.

So, you were under the impression that Mbah a Moute was a street agent for players from Cameroon?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Well not exactly, but IWB was making noise on his free forum that someone submarined us on the JoJo recruitment and everyone's guesses got a negative response except for the cryptic reference to Mbah a Moute, which was deleted not too long after.  So I'm taking a shot, but it's got some background to it.  I don't pay for his premium forums, so I can't verify it one way or another.

He has been once already, and since it's his little brother and all, I didn't think that was too much of a stretch.

Even if it were true that LRMAM didnt think we were a great fit for JoJo, he's certainly entitled to that opinion.  Thats his job helping watch over JoJo's recruitment and guide him through the process as best he can. But i have my doubts thats what happened if we're on his little brother. If IWB knew Luc-Richard wasnt high on MU, Buzz would know, and youd certainly not be seeing him waste his time with Roger.

Good points. I also think it's possible that LRMAM might think more highly of MU as an institution for 6'7 guys like his brother than 7 footers like Embiid. He wouldn't be the first.

I have always been kinda dumbfoudned how you never really hear about big name professional athlete's siblings having similar success.

I mean, I know there are a handful of examples of professional athlete sibling duo's, but I would think there would be more.

Talent, body-size, upbringing, work ethic, training routines... you would think all of these would be passed down to some degree to a younger sibling.

Just some thoughts.

Wes Matthews and he did not have his father's body type.

Oops, I already responded to this post months ago.  A good reason to avoid resurrecting very old threads.

Are there any 7 footers interested in MU?

No.  But, as always,  there are very few seven footers.

Why would a 7 footer consider MU?

Because Buzz teaches post moves and convinces guards that its important to pass big men the ball.
