Sir Lawrence

Also from this morning's paper, is a nice mention regarding the lifetime achievement award that George Thompson received last week.  Of interest to me is how he praises the current team and Buzz, rather than brag about himself.

I was a young teenager growing up in Milwaukee during George Thompsons years at MU. I was enthralled by his great leaping ability, grace, and his tenacity. He truly was the first great recruit of the Al era, and in my opinion, remains an all time great at MU.

George Thompsons recruitment at MU convinced me that something great was going to happen for the school.
Thanks George for a great career----richly deserved honor.

Did George praise Coach Crean in his remarks also?
