MU and the rest of the BEast got all they could have asked for, other than a few shekels from the old big east.  Long term stability divorced from the whims of football, Madison Square Garden, the name.....Kudos for the movers and shakers who pushed this through and sorted it out so quickly.   


The only things to worry about now is whether (A) The BCS football conferences separate from the NCAA and (B) somehow, unimaginably, FoxSports1 tanks. 


Oh, yeah, MU's coach leaving would be a buzz-kill, too.   

[The Process]

Fox's investments never tank!  MySpace turned out to be the greatest social media site EVER.

I wouldn't worry too much about (A).  As long as the NCAA is kept at bay, the BCS schools are going to stick around.  They get their football $$, an organization to provide oversight because they don't trust one another, and also don't have to worry about staging other championships.

But you are right, this is the best possible outcome that we all could have hoped for when this started back in December.
