Duane Wilson should be given the keys on day one.

ATL MU Warrior

I very much look forward to the day in 2 years when, after a lackluster performance, we start throwing all these guys under the bus and start crowing about how great our next incoming class is and how they are ready to play from day one and they should be starting over the guys we currently have.

That will be great.

I hope we have an even higher rated recruiting class two years from now to be excited about. As for me, I believe PG is most important position in game today and our two guys are not up to the task. That is shame on Buzz not the kids.

MU82

If folks here didn't keep mentioning Embiid, I wouldn't even think about him for 1 second. He made his choice, and it sounds like we have a lot of good kids coming in.

Me being full of regret -- especially about something so out of my control -- would be wasted energy.

Thrilled by the class Buzz is bringing in. Not even the least bit concerned/saddened/lamenting that, um, what's-his-name is going elsewhere.

Anticipation that something better is around the corner is humanity's best coping mechanism. And every once in a while, you're actually right! Here's hoping.

I think this is great and everything but we really shouldn't get our hopes too high right?  I mean think of all the four stars that haven't panned out right away or at all Erik Williams, and Jamail Jones are the two that spring right to mind.  But if we don't stroke their egos (Jeronne Maymonn) they may transfer and it'll be hard to do that with all the experience we have next year.  And I mean it's even arguable that Juan Anderson, Jamil Wilson and Junior aren't all that we thought they would be by now.  So let's wait till they get on the court even though I do have higher hopes for these guys than the others.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

True enough.

If they don't win on the road against a ranked opponent, they don't have balls.

That's all you need to know.

Truthfully, I hope they come in a tear it up.

But, even without them, I like next year's roster. Not a ton of holes. If everybody gets a little better, they could win the conference.

When they are seniors.

Glad we're steppin' up from mid-major players. Still need a stud in the middle to do some real damage.

You mean when Diamond Stone signs with two other two top 50 guys to go with next year's class and Kevon Looney?

If he had signed with Duke, MSU, UNC, Kentucky or Kansas...yes. MU? No.

Next years class is very big jump on the recruiting class in regards to talent level. The key is saving multiple studs coming in. Everyone was excited with this class early on and have been looking forward to next year for quite some time. I cannot wait to see the new guys on campus.

Thanks. Next year should be interesting on many levels.

If we can get through the early part of the season with the seniors carrying us while the youngsters get their feet wet, could be a really fun year.  I'm assuming in this that Blue comes back and see absolutely no realistic reason he would leave.

Blue ain't going anywhere unless he wants to see Europe.

Blue has made major strides this season, but without a decent jumper, he's not sniffing the NBA.

What was the deal with JJJ and Southwind about a week ago?
Was he unhappy? Did he leave the team? Did he rejoin them?

I don't disagree, but there are more than a few folks here a few weeks ago that feel differently.

Blue HAS a decent jumper. The reason he's improved his 3P% and mid-range shot is because he's improved his jumper. He rises and releases at the peak of his jump now. He is showing consistency in his release unlike previous years when he would figure out how to throw it up after he was in the air. Yes, he still has the kick, but anyone who can't see the immense strides he's made this year from range and not just at the rim isn't watching Marquette games.

No.  I honestly don't think it matters who the next recruits are.  Regardless of who they are, they'll be seen by many as a huge improvement over the guys on the team that just laid an egg (probably on National TV).

Honestly, I don't think Blue will go this year, but it would be more wise for him if he wants to be a pro. This years draft class absolutely blows. He might sneak in. You look at Blue's senior year draft class, you're looking at Wiggins and that entire Kentucky team. Maybe even Jabari Parker or Nerlens Noel. That class, looking at it now, is absolutely stacked. I don't think he will leave, as he can still improve, but if he wants to go pro, it'll be "easier" this year as opposed to next year.
