Favorite super bowl ads, least favorite superbowl ads
« on: February 04, 2013, 08:25:28 AM »
Liked:   Audi with the kid going to prom, Ram's ode to farmers with Paul Harvey.    My wife watched until the Budweiser Clydesdale ad, declared that was all she cared about and left the room.   Bud Light's superstition series.  KIA's 'where do babies come from'.
Disliked:   Godaddy with the supermodel and the nerd.   Trying to figure out what a fish has to do with sapphire hops.

Liked: the Audi commercial, Taco Bell Spanish Fun, The Milk commercial,

Disliked: Bud Crown Black Lager, Coke Commercials, Go Daddy, Ram Commercial (Thought it was too long and honestly didn't know what it was advertising until the end.), Etrade baby(time to go).

Didn't really think there were any great commercials.  Also, wtf are sapphire hops?

Disliked the Budweiser Black Crown ads. I'm not getting the market segment they are trying to attract. The gold face paint crowd seems pretty niche—and I'd bet not that interested in the Super Bowl.

Nothing really stood out as a winner. The Samsung Galaxy ad was the only one to make me laugh ... "Are you here to meet with a guy named Sam Sung?"

I did like the folks from the retirement community partying like rock stars for Taco Bell.

New breed of hops that is resistant to little buggers that is close to the noble hop variety Hallertauer Mittlefrüh.
But I like to throw handfuls...

Agree on the Audi commercial with the high school prom kid.  I also liked the commercial for the minivan where the little kid got his strong little friends together fot the footbal game and the Doritos commercial with the dad and his football buddies ending up playing dress-up in his daughter's room.

The most annoying by far was the Ford Fiesta commercial (I think it was Ford Fiesta) with the guy asking if there was a sale on gasoline at several gas stations.  Also agree that I disliked the GoDaddy commercial with Bar Refaeli and the nerd.  The other one I disliked was the Doritos commercial with the goat.

The Coca-Cola commerical in the desert was pretty good, though part 2 was disappointing.

I liked the Hyundai super kid football commercial, and the Oreos whisper fight in the library commercial.

I didn't like the Go Daddy Bar Rafaeli kissing that guy (he is like a super extra. He's been in 100+movies and 100+ TV shows). Also disliked the Budweiser Black Lager commercials.

Sorry guys, I gotta say that I loved that GoDaddy one with the model and nerd. Gave me a good laugh.

I kind of liked the VW commercial with the Minnesotan talking in a Jamaican accent...because of it's sheer stupidity.

Definitely the weakest batch of Superbowl commercials in recent memory.

Liked the Calvin Klein underwear ad, though.... ;D
Have some patience, FFS.

Yeah, that guy in the CK ad has been doing his crunches.

When I think VW, I think Jamaica.

I thought the Willem Defoe Mercedes ad was fantastic.

I liked the Ram farmer ad, the OREO ad, the Taco Bell one was funny. The Audi one was good too.

Slightly related...

Some ads were good, most were just "eh". Best part of the ads now is the twitter-verse responses. Comedic gold.

Also, Oreo tweeted an ad during the blackout about the blackout. It was genius marketing/PR.
