Just Wondering

We had 1,494 wins coming into the season.  We are 5-2 so I would say yes.

And we can do it against the Badgers?  Someone bake a cake and someone get the champagne on ice.

I remember being at the 1000th win against Xavier many years ago.  Xavier was ranked and we upset them.

Great game, even though it was a dismal year. I did the game for WMUR. Xavier had a great team (Larkin, Kimbrough, Tyrone Hill, Michael Davenport); I still have the 1,000th win button.

Also will never forget seeing Skip Prosser (who was an assistant to Pete Gillen) absolutely losing it after the game in the XU locker room.

Florida would have been a better win for 1500.

Too late for that one.

Wouldn't this win also be Buzz's 100th?

That's about as sweet a 1500th victory as you could ask for.

IWB seems to think it was 1499.    It's probably in the game notes.

Milestone - Marquette is looking to record their 1,500th Win. MU currently owns an overall record of 1,499-914 (.621) and is in its 96th season of competition. When the team does claim its seventh win in 2012-13, it will become the 43rd school in NCAA history to reach 1,500 wins.

The NCAA disagrees.  Page 45 of the PDF, says we had 1,494 wins coming into this season.  Win number 6, against Wisconsin, would have been 1,500.

Before today's game the scoreboard said a win today would be 1,500.

Someone better tell the NCAA they are wrong.

That happens often.  They don't like hearing it though.

They get their info from the schools originally so likely MU made the error at some point in time.
