As a tribute to what an incredible coach he was, I remember looking up his seasons after leaving Marquette and except for when he missed the the tournament with health issues, 11 of his first 13 post-Marquette teams won at least one NCAA tournament game.  Unreal when you consider the programs he took on.

RIP to a great one.

That NCAA record really is unreal. We have had many stretches without a tourney win and he won where nobody wins. Impressive to say the least. That Utah run was unreal IMO and that loss hurt like MU loss, especially to UK.
