USF Bulls defeat Georgia tonight. Anthony Collins scores 17 and dishes 10 assists. Watch out.

BEAST now leads SEC 4-2.

BTW, what's up with Stan Heath's teeth? Is he English?

Thought I saw Gtown beat UT 37-36, that's an unbelievable score.  I was slightly upset by our 49!

I didn't believe that GT score so looked it up... wow... even more amazing is this: "Starks' jumper with 4:08 left to play proved to be the difference, as neither team could manage a single point for the remainder of the game."

Who the hell did the scheduling for this event? Georgetown gets Tennessee, Syracuse gets Arkansas, and we get Florida?

Was thiking the same thing. Not liking the matchups versus what the Big Ten-ACC does.

We should be thankful that they put us up there against one of the SEC's best teams. They probably saw our number 2 finish last year in the conference and also maybe wanted the re-match from the tourney last year.  It's a shame we didn't show up in a big game like that but you don't see Providence in that time slot for instance. I take it as a compliment. Maybe we'll get em next time.

I absolutely take it as a compliment, but one would think they would try to make the challenge as competitive as possible. Pitting one of the best teams in the country versus a team in rebuilding mode when other more enticing matchups are available doesn't make much sense.

The problem is that BE teams have to rotate in and out every year so that screws up the match-ups. Plus, they try to change the match-ups from year to year. Otherwise, based on pre-season ranking, UK would have played Syracuse 2 or 3 times in the last couple years.

They should drop the rotation and reward the programs who are successful. The BEAST should match up strength on strength for these games as bragging rights are critical. Of course, with all that's going on this likely doesn't matter any more, unfortunately.

Big East comfortably leads eight games to three.  Nova leading early in the second half at Vandy.

Big East could very well end up 9-3 vs. SEC.  No question which conference is better.

UPDATE:  Vandy wins so Big East ends up 9-3.  Not too shabby.

And the way Florida is playing right now, they would have beaten Syracuse or Lousiville at home.

Agree.  Doesn't the B1G-ACC just go straight down the previous years' standings, possibly making a switch for teams due for home/road games?  What is the logic behind BEast/SEC scheduling?

Not sure it matters anymore.
