Who would choose to fight something the size of a horse that could fly?  ALWAYS choose the duck sized horses.

Do the duck-sized horses all have thoroughbred speed? That's some quickness coming at ya.

I would really hope their speed would scale down with their size.

Quarter horses run at most 20m/s and are, on average 16 hands high (64 inches).  A big duck would be about 12 inches tall.  Knowing nothing about animals or speed, that would mean that a 12 inch tall horse would travel at about 3.75 m/s, which is just over 8 mph.

Here is a kid named Christian running 8 mph:

That's not fast, but probably unsustainable for all of us desk-jockeys.

Sir Lawrence

I've had a few email discussions with Ken Pomeroy.  He doesn't suffer fools (me) but he is very responsive.   His last one with me was whether to take Mayo out of the Marquette analysis.  He's leaving him in, because he thinks he will return.

KPom has tOSU at #2 and MU at #32. His rediction is MU loses 78-70 with a 26% chance of a Warrior W.  A win by MU and a big ratings jump ensues.  btw, #41 Offensively and #20 Defensively preseason for Buzz's crew.

If that defensive number holds true, we'll be in for a fun year.

KPom is more whacked...four of the top five teams from the B1G including Michigan State who got beat soundly by UCONN.  His models have a bias especially early season whether he wants to admit it or not.  Value Add seems more accurate to me.

FWIW I prefer responsive blond bimbos to overweight male sportswriters but to each their own...

Completely agreed. Don't have to blonde, either.
