Since we have like 8 anti-spambot measures in order to to register, this must be an actual guy that has spent so much time trying to post spam (only to have it deleted, and his user be banned), that he actually knows good topics to post now.  I have to admit, I'm impressed!

So, I've deleted the links, and left the "spam"

Those bots post links because they want to get higher positions in Google by increasing the number of sites that have links back to their website. Google has a tag called "nofollow" that can be added to links to make them not count towards Google's ranking's. If you added this Mod, you'd take away their incentive to post links and probably get a lot of them to stop all together over time.
