Clearly the commenters are none too happy. Even going so far as to point out Business Week and MU being in bed together...

I like this comment:

'Business Week' and MU's relationship goes far back and this evaluation needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I attended both UW-Milwaukee (undergrad) and Marquette (grad) and while I can only speak to the business programs, the program at UW was the better program, hands down. The CV's of UW business profs are incredibly impressive and far more consistent than those at MU. Profs were more more helpful, more available and the peripheral encounters and services received at UW-Milwaukee were far more 'Cura Personalis' than anything I encountered at MU. Far, far better value in my opinion, but to each their own. Sure, MU may have a nationally recognized sports program, but if you're interested in working and remaining in this region, try UW

Guy seems to have schizophrenia. Is he trying to support UW or UW-M? Hard to tell...

GGGG

"University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and the Milwaukee School of Engineering are runners up on Businessweek's list."

So they just named the four engineering schools in the state.  Not exactly difficult to figure out why those four are considered the top.

Curriculum Vitae.  Fancy-talk for a resume.

Not fancy at all.  Latin.  Means "courses of life."

Well my life course has been fancy.  Hasn't yours been?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

for me, it was hard to see at the time with the load of loans at 15%, but looking back-yes!

The comments show the animosity toward MU as a private institution.  Platteville has a nice engineering program, it is not better than MSOE or MU's.  That commenter is ill informed.

The guy ripping Marquette's engineering program is comical.

Very, very comical. Platteville has their roles in mid-level construction, but ultimately their boss has a degree from Madison/MU or both.

It would be interesting to see where MU fell if they took cost of living into the equation as well. NY, MA and CA school had the highest ROI, but they also have the highest cost of living expenses. I think, in general, the majority of graduates tend to stay near their alma mater.

I doubt the answer to that question is suitable for this site, let alone the internet.
