We have a transfer every year. Why would this year be any different? If i had to guess i would say its Derek Wilson who goes.

Derrick Wilson?? Of all the guys on the team he'd be very low on the list. The kid made some pretty solid contributions as a pretty unheralded freshman.  I hope he sticks around, I think hi defense is pretty nuts for a freshman and a good team can always use lockdown guys, there are always spots for them.

And Maymon was low on ALL of our lists:/

Maymon didn't leave because of playing time or how low some people thought his ceiling was. An absolute, special case.

Derrick Wilson is not leaving Marquette.

Very valid point Sultan. I stand corrected. At the same time though neither you or I know what he is capable of so I agree with you that we should just trust Buzx.

So why do you constantly run Durley down?  How is that trusting Buzz?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Speaking of transfers, what's the odds of Tokoto transferring out of UNC to MU in a year or two?

I've actually thought that might be a possibility. As much as Rodent fans might have thought they were 2nd for Tokoto, I think they were always going to be second. If he didn't go to UNC, he'd have gone to Kansas, and said UW was second. If he went to Duke, he would have said UW was second. No way does Bo Ryan's style fit his type of play. Saying UW was second was just a PR ploy to keep himself in the good graces of the bulk of his hometown fans. If he does transfer home, I definitely think Marquette would be the most likely destination. If not there, Milwaukee might even be a better fit than UW.

Really like the kid and he has great potential. Have been thinking of him pulling a Jamil and if he does get homesick hope he remembers the Warriors. Another type player that would be prefect fit for us. Afraid with the trio going pro his playing time just increased a lot and he will be able to showcase his talents.

I'm with you.

UNC is going to ALWAYS recruit over him. Minutes he figured SHOULD be there his sophomore year may not be there.

MU's tempo fits his game more than UW's so let the waiting game begin for JP Tokoto AKA Jamil Wilson Redux!

The guys going pro could help him, but honestly, I'm just not sure he'll be an instant impact guy regardless. He's clearly behind McAdoo (if he returns), and guys like Bullock, Hairston, and Brice Johnson will all be competing for the same minutes. It'll be an uphill climb. I hope the best for him, and would love to see him succeed at UNC, but if it doesn't work out after a couple years, I'm sure that we'll have room in our 2014 class for him.

Zero. The kid is good, has the proper work habits, and parental support. He'll play at UNC and play well.
