Buzz owes me $70!

Thought maybe a bit of humor might lighten the mood around here...after today, I'm sure we all could use a little chuckle. Found this on another website and thought I'd share:

Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is another prime example of how much money talks or in the case of SMU can get someone to listen (maybe). In my humble opinion, Buzz is good for Marquette, the City of Milwaukee, the state of Wisconsin, and all the young men he leads by example. Like many of you, I'm all in favor of supporting Buzz.  BUT, money talks...instead of an email of support, how about we repay Buzz's debt and donate to Buzz's Bunch.

Here's my proposal. There's currently 1065 replies to the crazy thread that blew up over the weekend.  If all the Scoopers unite and raise $1,065 for Buzz's Bunch, I will contact Rob and repay him the $70 that Buzz owes him. So, if you replied to the thread...donate a $1 for each reply you made.  And to all those bad bad people that just lurked around the thread - like me - you should have your name highlighted in red according to AnotherMU84, unless you donate $10 to "remove the red from your name".

So what will this accomplish? Buzz will see the community's support with a donation to Buzz's Bunch, and maybe we can convince Rob to be a fan of ours.  While, I'm not nor do I think anybody should be so worried about the latter goal, let's support Buzz.

Comment on this, if you will support this endeavor, and I will work on getting a donation page up if there's enough support. Anybody with me?

I'd be all for donating to Buzz's Bunch whether it was named something different, had no connection to the basketball program, or if Buzz wasn't even here.  Start up a donation page and see what we can do.
