Recently, I've noticed that DJO has started wearing Air Jordan Xs. I thought it was kind of cool, and random.

After doing some research it seems that other players and teams (non Air Jordan sponsored) have also started wearing them. Most notably, Anthony Davis.


Most random: Oregon State (WTF?):


On the sneaker news blog it shows a bunch of other players wearing a whole slew of different retro Jordan shoes during conference tourneys. Syracuse's Kris Joseph was wearing the more popular Joradn XI.

How did these players randomly start wearing the retro Air Jordans? Did everyone on the team get a pair of their choice, and only some of the players are choosing to wear them during games?
