Does Andy Katz know something that hasn't been written anywhere else on Scoop?

http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/49068/transfer-keeps-marquette-rolling-along

Third-leading scorer and rebounder Davante Gardner is out at least for the next two weeks with a knee injury.

The coaching staff said Gardner may not come back until the Big East tournament. And Marquette coach Buzz Williams said he may not force the issue because he doesn't want to mess with the rhythm of this crew.

DG doesn't play 40 mpg, and we don't 3/4 trap more than 5-10 mpg as a momentum changer, regardless of whether or not he is available.

I'm going to bet spot minutes only for DG down the stretch.  Buzz has settled into a 6+ man rotation.  Jae, JWill and DJO are going 36+ minutes going forward unless there's foul trouble or we're in a back-to-back situation durning the BEast tournament.  Why?  Because we're a markedly better team configured that way.  I'm not eve sure coach would go to an 80% DG ahead of Mellow in the case of foul trouble right now.  When he's needed to give us minutes, Mellow has contributed nicely.  And he plays a similar style of ball to JWill.

The one where you said that there was "bad news" after it was already said he was out for 3-4 weeks?

Yes you were reaching.  The news is exactly as bad as it was supposed to be so far.

Please, share the link that said "3-4 weeks" before my post.

Thanks Chief.

Was one day before your post

And was referenced in your thread

Here is the search function so that you can do the research on your own next time

And here, highlighted for you, is the quote button so that you don't have to keep copy/pasting and colorizing other people's text.  It's handy for people to click on that little "quote from" link on quotes so that they can easily tell if you're empty quoting or not.

Its obvious that you're new to the internet.  If you need more help feel free to keep badposting all over the forums because people will continue to correct you.

Edited for clarity.

I wrote this January 31, the night of the Seton Hall game, four days after DG was injured at nova ...

Just got back from the game and someone close to the program, in the position to know, said he'll be out 3 to 4 weeks.  You know his name and he perfers I not use it.

Whenever DG comes back, our expectations should include the likelihood  he will take a few games to return to his former shape and productivity.

I hope I am wrong.  I just remember the painful memory of James trying to return after he broke his foot.

The people that are insinuating that MU is better off right now without Davante are high. We need him back bad, hopefully he can go by Friday night in WV. They'll definitely need to ease him back into the rotation, and he won't be getting the minutes he was getting pre-injury, but he gives us a dimension that we'll badly need in the tourney.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Uh, must be my iPhone but I don't see where it states that De'De will be out "4-6 weeks"

So because I don't follow the rest of the "heard" I'm computer illiterate?

Yeah, we are fine without Davante until either Crowder or Wilson get in foul trouble in any game OR we don't play back-to-back games within three days of one another (cant be playing those two 37+ minutes on such little rest).

The first condition is just a matter of time.  The second one is guaranteed at WVU (only two days rest), the BET, and the NCAA tourney.

We need Davante back.  Sooner rather than later.

Not necessarily.  But maybe because it's "herd", you're just plain illiterate and need not be concerned with your computer skills.  Just sayin'.

You're right...I apologize.

I should take grammar and spelling more seriously on a forum I suppose, especially when the reader may not know what type of (herd or heard) I was referring to.

So lighthouse, please help educate me on where (before my previous post) it shows conclusively, ox was going to be out 4-6 weeks?

Thanks in advance

Careful, Lighthouse, I think you may have missed the pun suggested by the quote marks ("heard"), which would suggest a rather sophisticated use of language - certainly well above the level of an illiterate.
