Well, even if they don't agree with the move, I am sure they are justifying it that way.  I doubt they feel that they are out to screw the Big East.

The situations were different than now, as I believe that the decisions for MU were never just about greedily doing whatever would earn them more money, without regard for anyone or anything else.  I may be wrong, but that's what this round of movements screams to me.  More money for me/us - even if it completely screws everyone else.  I don't want to argue that changing conferences is inherently wrong - it's the greed and complete lack of regard for anyone else that I don't like (come to our conference - it might destroy your conference and all your former partners, leaving them scrambling to find a place to play, but screw 'em).  I'm not completely familiar with all of MU's moves of the past, but I would not label our move from CUSA -> BE as being like that, and I believe that our move from GMC -> CUSA was because GMC ceased to exist.

If it's the word "egocentric" you don't like, just replace it with "selfish" and read again.

I believe that that is what the last round of movements was about.  To me the current moves (especially Syracuse, Pitt, and West Virginia) are a reaction to the fear of being the one of the few left standing when the music stops for musical chairs.
