The snow sucked - took almost 3 hrs. to make the drive that would have been half that.

Cassarino's has good Italian.

Got worried when I saw the bizzarely-shaped head and ample abdomen of the amazing Jim Burr.

Attendance - announced around 9500 - many came disguised as empty seats - MU was WELL represented.

DJO - love his shot, hate his handle.

Jamil - what can you say? IT's what we've all been waiting for - loved the two 3's from the corner, but saw good D all night.

Ox - spent 3/4 of the night on O - worked hard, OK rebonding, and was his usual self at drawing fouls.

Van/Mayo - gotta agree with Brew's comments. I was right in line with Mayo's first 3 attempt and said "Oh, God, that's way off." I thought it was well off to the left, but like a throw from the outfield it tailed to the right, and it got nothing but net.

Junior - the offense was stale until Junior started things moving - I knew he was the prime mover but still was suprised when I saw the box score and double figures in assists.

Jae - does all the little things. Got to see him up kind of close and it looks like he's learned to rest at times, but fights like hell when it's his play. Thigs ground to a halt when he sat.

Frosh - three out there at once for some minutes and they did OK!

Juan - looked sharp, played decent D. Not jamming at the horn won him some Pitt fans in my section (good head for a frosh and a classy move, although we were at the other eand and couldn't tell if Buzz or teammates were yelling "Don't shoot!").

DWil - good one-on-one defender - bothersome. But overpursues in spots where his guy isn't gong to be able to do anything and gets the ticky-tack calls. My guess is he'll learn to avoid that problem.

A good trip to the Ocean State - let's get ready for the Bulls. Then next weekend will be a big one - the 'Cats seem to have righted the ship a bit.
