but Wes might get himself a ring soon. This Blazers team is real good. Now that the gimp retired and they can go more uptempo with some added pieces they are one of the better teams in a conference lacking a dominant team.

It's a shame the team celebrated the New Year absolutly hammered and only sobered up for the 4th qtr vs the Clips.

Wade for President

I too think the Blazers are very impressive.  The signing of Jamal Crawford, although it will probably hurt Wes statistically, makes them a very deep team.

How many teams can have five different 20 point scorers?  Honestly?!?  Aldridge, G Wallace, Wes, Felton, and Crawford have all scored 20+ by the third game of the year.  Throw in good defensive veterans who know their role (Camby and the age-less Kurt Thomas), and that's a solid team.

I think what is more impressive is that they're doing this without the original cornerstones of the team (Brandon Roy and Greg Oden).

Hards Alumni

Imagine if Greg Oden wasn't hurt all the time?  How good would this team be?

No, you're looking for the thread entitled, "Very, VERY premature....followed by Karen Sypher snickering."

Jimmy Butler, Lazar Hayward, and Steve Novak aren't on half bad teams either! Should be a good year for teams repping MU in the NBA.

The Maestro

There's also that team down in Florida with that Wade guy.

True, but Wes is a starter and actually plays on his team. If the Blazers stay healthy(huge IF with them) they are deadly. All the starters know their role. Aldridge the go to guy, Wallace with the motor, Felton run the O(little shaky handles), Camby rebound and Wes hit open shots and score in transition.

Then they all can play D with Batum, Thomas etc all knowing their bench roles.
