Just curious----

Is there any limit to the number of players that you can carry on a college roster?

Syracuse lists 20 players on their roster and 18 of them actually played in their last game on 12/22 against Tulane!

I don't think roster size is limited... scholarships max out at 13, however.  So in theory, I think you could have a roster of 30, as long as 17 are walk-ons.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Unless you're UConn! ;D

Don't the military acadamies have a bunch of players on their roster?

I believe the only limitation the NCAA enforces on roster size is with scholarships.  I think, and do not have enough time to investigate, there may be a limitation to the number of players allowed to suit up or play in a game.  If memory serves, that number is 15 - but again, I have not verified.

UWM had 16 players suited up when they played us.

I saw a couple in warm-ups that were not suited up (McCallum being one).  Similar to Cadougan and DJO when they sat out.  Were you counting them?

Stretchdeltsig

UW had 17 players in uniform when we played them.

If I am not mistaken, all the students at the military academies are already on a full ride, so techinically, they are all walk-ons.
Have some patience, FFS.

They list 17 on their roster.  At least 2 are redshirting (Marshall and Utoff).  So, the 17 suiting up is not accurate.

bilsu

I think there is a limit to how many can travel.

During warm-ups it just seemed that they had a ton of guys, so we counted...16.
