Gotta be Mayo, but Blue was really huge.

Mayo. That beautiful layup over that tall white guy is the tiebreaker for me.

seconded. Mayo by a whisker over Blue.
Relax. Respect the Process.

UW has 15 of those on their roster.

Anyway, I say Mayo too.  But like others have said, everyone had some kind of contribution.  I know it won't really show up in the stats, but I liked what I saw from Jamil Wilson.  Not that I think he should get SOTG, but he took 2 charges and had at least 2 blocks where he was called for fouls when they really weren't fouls.  Also hit a 3.  When he gets his confidence in his offensive game he's going to be a really special player at Marquette.  You can see the ridiculous athleticism with some of his blocks and rebounds.

Has to be Mayo with the key high glass lay in... the slam dunk put the icing on the cake.

Jam Chowder

Mayo. That statement dunk to crush the punks in red will go down as one of my favorite Marquette moments.

BM1090

Mayo. I think DJO had the best game but Mayo seemed to get a bucked every time we needed one.

JA!  Game 1 -- 5 in 7.  JFBJr.

I was completely honest when i said TEAM SOTG. this game was won straight up by the entire squad. Anything else would be an insult to the team.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

warrioreagle

Fried and minced badger sandwich with MAYO on top.

Big Daddy 84

It has to be Bo...for cooling on Vander...

I vote for team defense as SOTG. That was impressive lock down. Winning in Madison does not happen often and the D was unreal.

Are you nuts? We let Bucky score 54. Isn't that 15 points more than a typical Big10/11/12 game?  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Something just feels wrong about a whole team winning SOTG.  Even though it was a great effort by all, much like Highlander, there can truly be only one.

Mayo was a huge spark and didn't play like a freshman at all.

Like others said:  DJO had the best game, but Mayo was the stud.

Anybody have a highlight of this or know where I can find one? They didn't even replay it on the original telecast.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

These are the only highlights I've found so far.  It has Mayo's sweet high-off-the-glass layup, but no breakaway jam.

The highlights on ESPNEWS had the dunk...

Mayo would be my second pick. Derick Wilson has to be player of the game. We would not of won without him taking Cadougan's place. He played excellant defense on UW's best player. I have not looked at the box score, but I do not believe he had a turnover. He did not take any shots, which is okay because he did his job without trying to force things.

Jae didn't score big but was huge in other ways. How many assists did he get? :Two big ones come to mind- Mayo's cut to the basket and the inbounds for the dunk

I'm starting to lean towards TEAM because of the huge effort by 10 guys
