really dont mean to nit-pick because the kid looks outstanding, but i will anyways

Is this really his competition???

brewcity77

My guess is that's not his competition. AAU competitions often have quite a few different age levels and ranks all competing at the same event. Maybe that kid is some super-athlete, but my guess is that Anderson is probably in the 17 bracket and that kid is in the 11-13 bracket. And most of his mix tapes are from his high school games, which would be against mostly guys in his age and development level.

Since you seen him play, where will he fit next year, is he a small forward or big guard, can he rebound
or does he play totally outside?  Does he play better with the ball in his hand?  More importantly, does
he play D?

Skill set to play the guard, but really is a small forward.
Don't see him really filling out til his 3rd year. He's going to be a great 4 year starter.
Barring injuries of course (knock on wood).

He has a good handle but still needs work. You can tell from the videos how he sets up his crossover, and it's not D-1 fast yet. But it's good enough to have him handle the rock coming up the court. In the game I saw, he played best around the rim, without the ball in his hand.

He was unselfish and moved the ball within the offensive sets; a testament to the potent offensive weapons the Castro Valley team had this year.

He did get banged around inside because of his build, but his length at the prep level helped his defense.
Juan needs to get stronger to take the bruising that his teammates like Jae are going to give him in practices.

So you are already giving him JB's position right now, not sure about that
since Jamil will be at least 21 years old and in college for 3 years.  I think
he will be a nice back-up next year.  In the video's it looked like he was
a half step slow, much like Bernard Toone was as a freshman.  Al had to
play zone to hide his defensive lapses.
