Does anyone know what year Marquette began using the logo below?

Also, does anyone know which logo was used during the 1977 season?

Early to mid 80's?

I'd think one of the middle ones was used during the 1977 season. I think the top left was earlier (60s)

1977 logo was row two, the one on the far left...Indian swinging tomahawk.

That is watered down logo that most fans thought was soft at the time. Amazing how a couple of nickname changes can affect an opinion. I'd take the watered logo back in a heartbeat.

TallTitan34

Do you know what year the "watered down" logo came about?

Goose

Titan--Previous poster mentioned mid 80's. If I was betting guy I would say a tad earlier, but not certain.

Henry Sugar

Titan, I think you need to add your avatar to the nickname page.
A warrior is an empowered and compassionate protector of others.

I have it saved on my computer at home.  I'll upload it once I get home.

I have another logo question.

Does anyone remember them using a logo, probably around the Doc Rivers era, of a series of imbedded arrows that were blue, gold and white in color?  I remember seeing this used on television during that era but can't find it anywhere.

I was trying to come up with the logo in my mind as well.  I know the one from that era is missing.  I thought there might also have been a hatchet in the mix (not the player, but the weapon).

GGGG

Maybe it was a hatchet but yeah, there is one missing.  The "PC" logo was my era...mid 80s.  But there was definately another one after any native reference.

I was thinking hatchet and feathers.  Seem to recall he was facing left - a profile.

Tried to find something during my late lunch hour.  Did run across the "First Warrior" from the 1980 season, photo toward the bottom of the page.
