I have no worries with Junior as our primary point next year.  He's been fantastic the last two games.

No not *just* the last two games...but he's stepping up huge in big games in the late season.  Better tonight than Scoop Jardine was.

Silkk the Shaka

Agreed!  And he left no doubt about us being in the tournament with his WVU performance.  He's great at creating pace when we seem to be stagnating.  We're golden the next two years!

wojosdojo

He's been fantastic for much more than these last 2 games. Could easily win most improved POY. When he told Brad he was going to shock people next year I didn't really know if e meant it, now I do. No worries for the future.

No doubt. He's really played well. Played within himself. Solid/not incredible defense. Learning the right things to do. Would LOVE if both he and Vander spend the entire summer learning the 15-20 footer, would make both of them so much better.

Player of the game in my opinion. A leader. Making plays all night long!
Warrior in the class of 2011.

Junior was actually pretty horrible much of the Xavier game.  He was nails tonight though.  He's still a work in progress but has been getting better and better.
Calvin:  I'm a genius.  But I'm a misunderstood genius.
Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

The talk is about Junior, but I think Vander's going to be just fine. Many a star player had a questionable J his freshman year to wind up a great college player (James, Kimba). I really like what I see in Vander now. Limited minutes, but seems to give 110% and knows his role right now and isn't pouting. Goes nuts on the bench. Just solid.

I would agree with this. There's a lot of work to do but he is showing absolutely NO give-up in him. Playing his heart out when he's out there. He's clearly embracing his role right now, not crying at all, and loving every minute of it; sounds a little like JFB his first year here (thought less minutes on the court.....)

Cant overemphasize how valuable Junior's aggressiveness is.  His willingness to penetrate the defense and create is something MU has been sorely lacking for years in my opinion.  McNeal had the ability and did really well, but I think Cadougan could be really really special.

HoopsMalone

Everything has clicked for Junior finally.

We kind of owe him two tourney appearances.  We were more on the bubble than we thought and needed WVU this year at MSG.  We also probably wouldn't have come together last year if Cubillan had to practice with the scout team.  We also would not have likely won those three straight road games in OT without his a couple minutes.

Junior is a Warrior.
