When someone injures a knee ,we get the specs  eg. ACL,MCL etc. Why can't we get similar specs on a hand/wrist injury ?

mu_hilltopper

I emailled my buddy who just happens to be the uncle of the janitor at the team doctor's office, and he was happy to email me Jerel's xrays, doctor patient privilege be damned.

Happy now?

AlienWarrior

NO , I'm not happy , a fracture is not obvious . It is too small an image to completely rule out a fx. Ligamentous damage/tear cannot be ruled out without an MRI .And yes I am an expert in this field.

No chance that is Jerel. Geez.

We;; my buddy, has a dad, who has a uncle, that slept with this girl, who once knew a guy named Tom who like MU. He said Jerel has mono.

rocky's edit: hey now goose, fair enough to have some fun, but avoid the insults.

AlienWarrior

Regardless if it's Jerels xray or not ,an MRI would be necessary to rule out soft tissue injury and we have not received any specifics on his injury . And Gooseman ,you have to find a gander and shove it . I don't appreciate your kindergarden response  .

Nukem2

Alien, he has an injured thumb and he can't play.  Lets just leave it at that. Its all that is of import to us as fans.  Next thing we know, you'll be wanting to show us a 3D color video of your colonoscopy. :-\

Hey PPP , how did you know I was preparing a video ? You must be a psychic .

I'll write it again: people are obsessed with McNeal's injury.

Actually...since you asked - Rosiak's blog from last night does cover the mix up, and that we might get more info on Thursday

QuoteThere initially were some crossed signals regarding McNeal's status, and whether he was out for the entire NCAA tournament. But the situation was clarified in the early evening, and you now have the most accurate and up-to-date information.

McNeal will be available to speak to the media on Thursday prior to the Golden Eagles' practice, as will coach Tom Crean, so there should be more insight with regard to the the sophomore guard's right thumb following the afternoon session.

Big Papi

its a thumb injury.  He is out this weekend.  His thumb might be good enough for him to play in the Sweet 16 but it all depends on how much it will heal from now til than if we even make it that far.  What more do you want to know?

AlienWarrior

Hey Cooby . Obsession is a strong word . Curiousity ,that's all .

mu_hilltopper

Ok, I'll see if I can get you the MRI.   How about I have the doctor just call you?

Actually,  all the reports only confirmed him being out Thursday and that he's still a possibility for Saturday.

Actually, I think he hurt his thumb while reading & participating in the MUScoop community or was it emailing his brother in Venezeula (or was that Carlos Zambrano?).

I heard Crean had the guys in a thumb-war tournament, and in the semifinals McNeal's right thumb got owned by a vicious (and illegal) index-finger tag-team by Ooze. As a result, Ooze was disqualified, and Craig ARMY STRONG Kuphall took the whole thing by forfeit after knocking off Kinsella, Burke and Acker on his way to the finals.
