This was just posted on the Scout Board ...

Paul, what day is the announcement?

PaulFSWI (this is Paul Imig)

Friday. The quickest way to find out about JP's decision will be to follow me on Twitter. (unintentional self-promotion). I'll post it there right away and then follow later with an article, but given the 'breaking news' nature of it, Twitter will be the quickest way to find out. Twitter.com/paulimig

I voted for UNC.  Not because I want that but because it looks most likely.

TallTitan34

UW and UNC fans both seem to think they have it locked up.  If he doesn't pick us, it will be nice to see one of those schools miss out as well.

I think that he will point to MU's recruiting budget, remark that it must be cut, and offer a Continuing Resolution to delay his decision for two weeks if a two week prorated budget cut for those two weeks is authorized.

My money is on UNC.   However, Buzz, keep the lines of communication open and cordial.   MU fanbase, be gracious and don't say anything you may regret later.    Sometimes things don't work out at the first choice.   If JP is unhappy as a Tar Heel, lets  not have anything we have to un-say.

UNC, but tranfer to MU the following year with a chip on his shoulder.

Mr. Tokoto--if you read this board, please shock everybody and commit to Marquette. Great conference--better than ACC, great tradition, great city,, great school with good academics, great challenge to play in best conference in country, and you will be the idol of all the MU fans. You cannot go wrong!

Were you wearing kneepads when you wrote this?  I really hope you're under 21 years and if not, go to the doctor for some maturity pills.

JP is going to spend the next two weeks in IL avoiding making a tough decision, while blaming others

Stretchdeltsig

Agree with Willie Warrior that it would be great to watch JP play for Marquette.  He would a perfect fit and would definitely help Marquette play for a national title.

I'll follow your lead.  If J.P. wants to take another week to announce it, my vacation would be awesome.

The only reason to annouce this early is to pick North Carolina. UW or MU will have a scholarship for him 6 months from now.

unfortunately, this is right...Roy put the word out.

However it ends, I have to say that college ball would be a lot better if every player handled their recruitment like JP and his folks. Very impressed with the way they handled everything.

If he goes to UW, I take it all back.

I dunno, it will be nice for him to have this decision out of the way before the state basketball tournament starts.

I've got a sickening feeling he's going to be wearing red...

Make UNC Commitment on Firday & goes down to see UNC/Dook game @ UNC the next day....That what I see happening.  Hope not, but....

Europe.

He's obviously ready for the NBA now and college would only hinder his natural abilities.

Mr. Nielsen

Per JSOnline, JP to make his pick on Thursday night.
