Just getting around to playing around with firefox over the past few weeks.. now venturing into the addons.. so many of em it's hard to see straight.. so I gotta come to my trusty, never let me down before, fellow muscooper's!  anyone got a few they recommend (please describe too)?

You know I'm all over this one.  Firefox is the best browser EVER  ;D
(follow the links for complete description)

Adblock - block popups and ads easily

Gmail Notifier - give you an icon on the bottom status bar letting you know of new gmail

Yahoo Mail Notifier - same thing for Yahoo Mail

IE View - quickly opens a link in IE for those pages that don't support Firfox (Marquette All Access is the only page a "frequent" that doesn't support Firefox)

Bugmenot - blow right by registration pages on news websites :)

I use both, and am not a FF nazi.  I really like the FF plug ins .. but I prefer IE for one reason: FF crashes all the time.  Sorry.  If I use FF for 8 hours, it'll crash 5 times easy.  And this is the new version.  IE almost never crashes for me.

But I'll add to Rocky's list..

1-ClickWeather is pretty decent if you put it on your menu bar out of the way.

CustomizeGoogle has some nice features

Extended Statusbar

Fasterfox

That's odd, I don't even remember the last time FF crashed on me, and I have it open for over 8 hours every day.  You might try uninstalling some (or all) of your plugins to see if it helps, I'd guess one of those might be causing the crash (fasterfox sounds a likely culprit to me!).

use FF at home, never crashes.  use IE at work, it's like a 16 year old girl on a cell phone....

stumbled upon this page recently and tried out it's memory config suggestion for FF.. works pretty cool!

hahahaha, niice.

I don't mess too much with the add-ons.  I prefer yahoo widgets when it comes to all the FUNish type stuff.  I do pretty basic web browsing, and I love FF, especially its tab option stuff.  I know the tabs aren't really addons, but they are pretty much what made me fall in love with Mozilla.

IE is good too, but I just prefer FF.  I don't know about the new IE, but I think the older one was more susceptible to viruses and trojans and all that trash.
