Marquette Basketball Weekly: The Father Wild Edition

Written by: noreply@blogger.com (Tim Blair)

Outgoing Marquette University President Rev. Robert Wild sits down with Brad Galli to talk decades of Marquette basketball: the players who became legends, the men who coached them, and the moment he calls the greatest of his 15-year presidency. Wild shares what went in to hiring Buzz Williams and why he calls the current coach “amazing.” Also, Derek Hudgin talks with Williams, Jae Crowder, Dwight Buycks, and Rob Frozena about giving back during the holiday season.

Another really good episode. To be honest, I often find these more interesting than the weekly TV show on Time Warner.

We're really lucky to have a President that recognized the value of a strong athletic program. I hope Fr. Pilarz realizes this as well.

His dog was the mascot at Georgetown.  I trust a strong athletic program is important to him  ;D

Even Fatther Wild can see that this is a young team with lots of room to get better.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

I would be surprised if within the next 5 years we don't see Brad on a national network, his work is much better than many "professionals" we see or hear on a regular basis.  Thanks Brad that was a great piece.

I was thinking the same thing. Hard to believe he's a college kid. ESPN should grab him the day he graduates.

Thank you all for the compliments. I love doing this show and "working" in this field. It is rewarding to know when you the audience enjoys it.

Thank you.
Would be nowhere without the support of the Marquette community. Can't beat the MU family.

Rooting for Lazar, Jimmy, Steve, Wes and Dwyane always. Go Buzz.

But then he has to become a whore for whoever ESPN is shilling for.  He deserves better.
